Yes, we encourage a meet-and-greet before the start of the service to introduce your pet to the sitter, discuss your pet’s needs, and ensure that you’re comfortable with the sitter. Our meet and greets are complimentary.
For the safety of both your pet and our sitters, we do not offer off-leash walks. Keeping pets leashed during walks helps prevent accidents, injuries, and unexpected encounters with other animals or traffic.
However, we are happy to provide supervised off-leash playtime if you have a secure, fully fenced backyard or enclosed area on your property.
In the event of an emergency, our sitters are trained to handle various situations. They will contact you immediately and follow your instructions, and they will also take your pet to the vet if needed.
While we strive to accommodate last-minute bookings, availability may be limited. It’s best to book as early as possible to ensure we can meet your needs. There is a surcharge for bookings within 24 hours of needed care.
We can accommodate pets with special needs or medical conditions. Please provide detailed information about your pet’s requirements, and we will ensure that our sitters are prepared to handle them. We will administer pills and drops. We will not, however, administer any medicine via an injection.
Yes, we provide regular updates, including photos and notes about your pet’s activities and well-being. You can also communicate with your sitter via phone or messaging during the pet-sitting period.
Our sitters are trained to manage various pet behaviors. If your pet has specific behavioral issues, please inform us in advance so we can ensure the sitter is prepared and can address any concerns appropriately.

Keys to your home will be securely collected during our pre-service consultation or as arranged prior to the start of services and are stored in a locked cabinet, accessible only to authorized sitters. Access will be provided according to the agreed schedule, and in emergencies, sitters will handle situations promptly and notify you. Keys will be returned at the end of service or as otherwise arranged. In the rare event of a lost key, we will address the issue immediately. We prioritize security and discretion, ensuring all doors are locked and keys are not shared. Please update us promptly if access details change.
If you plan to give us access to your home via keypad/garage code, we always require a key that can be found in case of emergency or if the power goes out, that way we are able to access the home in the event the door will not open with keypad/garage code.
We currently accept payment through Venmo, cash, or check. At this time, these are the only payment methods available. All checks must be made payable to Baxter Pet Sitting LLC.
